A older couple are in their kitchen, preparing an Italian meal to celebrate the first day of the husband's retirement,
when a woman, Maria, arrives at the door with flowers and congratulations for the husband. Although she has never heard
of Maria, her husband is made distinctly uncomfortable by her arrival – so she invites Maria to join them for dinner...
These two 30 minute films were produced by NPS television in Holland (which is the Dutch equivalent of the BBC) and
provide an excellent look at Farideh Fardjam’s writing and directing skills. Ms. Fardjam will be at the screening to discuss
the works in preparation for her Acting and Directing Workshop on Sunday.
She is a Graduate of the prestigious Amsterdam Film and Television Academy, and her films have been shown at festivals
throughout Europe (and the USA). She currently divides her time between Boise and Amsterdam.
